About Us

Progress Center offers a variety of service models to encourage your participation at our center. Here is a sampling of these services:
• Occupational Therapy     • Physical Therapy     • Neurodevelopmental Testing
• Speech/Language     • Child Find Screening
• Special Educational Services in the Home and In-Center

Home Education Services:  Teachers visit children in their homes or daycare working on common goals for the child and the family or daycare provider.  This model works well if attending in-center services is difficult or if a more Natural Environment service meets the needs of the family.

In-Center Therapy/Education Services--Consultation Model:  A student, parent, teacher and therapist meet together in the center one to four times per month working on common goals for the child.  This model works best if child and family are able to travel to our center, have reliable transportation, enjoy meeting with all professionals at one time, and can make other arrangements for siblings.

Classroom Services--Several classes are offered:  This service is designed for students who are ready for early group experience.  Our classes are two hours long, once a week—morning and afternoon sessions.  Children from the community join us as well to make for an “integrated experience” for your child.  Classroom services work best when the child is ready for class social interactions with other young friends.  Classes can be in addition to in-center therapy services or therapy can be delivered in class.

Progress Center strives to meet your child’s individual needs by seeking out alternative ways to provide our services.  Offerings from time to time can include:
•providing informal playgroups
•providing groups that bring small numbers of students together for specific goals

We welcome any suggestions you may have to help us in the development of our programs.
